‘Grosso’ is a hybrid Lavindin-type variety that has a dark purple bloom, grey-green leaves, and excellent fragrance fresh or dried. This variety is often used for commercial production because of its very high content of fragrant essential oil.

Lavender grows to 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall and prefers full sun and well drained soil. Flowers and leaves are aromatic and can be dried and used in cooking, calming herb teas, and sleep pillows. Prune off flower stalks after bloom if you did not harvest them.
