‘Vera’ is a cold-hardy heirloom English lavender. It is considered the original and true variety traditionally grown at high elevation in the French alps. In our garden, ‘Vera’ produces tall flowering stalks with abundant purple blossoms.
Lavender grows to 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall and prefers full sun and well drained soil. Flowers and leaves are aromatic and can be dried and used in cooking, calming herb teas, and sleep pillows. Prune off flower stalks after bloom if you did not harvest them.
