Edible flowers and leaves make muskmallow a great perennial for a sunny garden. It starts growing in early spring and blooms a deep pink in late spring through summer. Our plants bloom profusely for a very long time. The flower buds can be a great garnish, as they resemble rosebuds and keep well in that stage. Like all mallows, muskmallow brings a variety of pollinators to the garden. Plants usually grow up to three feet tall and wide at the most.
